Prospective individual or organizational donors may contribute computer technology or volunteer to do outreach for the Technology Bank, Home Access Initiative, or serve as repair technicians, trainers, or software tutors. Dollar-Hours are accrued by school-aged volunteers which are later traded for computer technology items available at pre-determined rates of exchange. Donors - The contribution of new and used computer technology to the Technology Bank is greatly appreciated. There are literally thousands of families in Athens-Clarke County who still do not have a computer in the home. A number of middle and high school students are very interested in Community Service and sometimes a little pat on the back or a computer game exchanged for "dollar-hours" lets them know that they're really appreciated! Technology Bank - Assistance is always needed for pick-up of donated items from our generous contributors. Trainers and Instructors - Volunteers are needed to provide entry-level training in computer repair and upgrades.
